How To Choose The Best Coffee Maker?

!±8± How To Choose The Best Coffee Maker?

For those who look forward to the morning aroma of coffee, the coffee maker may well be the most important kitchen appliance. The many other appliances have their useful functions, but the day just does not get started until you get your wake-me-up drug in a tasty coffee delight. But if you have not done your homework in selecting a good coffee maker, it is quite possible for you that morning cup of coffee is more of a taste bud assault than a tasty coffee delight. So in order for you to start with that perfect cup of coffee each day, you need to start by choosing the best coffee maker for you.

The first consideration for you on a coffee maker is size. How many cups of coffee does it really take to get you and the other coffee drinkers going in the morning? You surely do not want to have one that can't keep up with the coffee demand. On the other hand, if the total demand for coffee in the morning is one or two cups, it does not make a lot of sense to take up too much of your counter space with another equipment. However, if you have abundant space, you may decide it is better to go large than to be sorry as your caffeine tolerance increases.

The second consideration is what kind of features matter to you on a coffee maker. You may not even be aware of the features available. For example, some of them have built in grinders. Others have self-cleaning pots. Some have pots that double as quick-grab mugs you grab and carry out the door with you in the morning. Are you a straight coffee lover or do you go for that extra special espresso or cappuccino in the morning? Of course, one of the most popular features now on coffee makers are timers so that the awakening aroma of your delicious coffee is swirling throughout the house by the time you wake up each morning.

Finally, there are the simple preferences you may have.. Such things as brand preference and color preference would fall into this category. Maybe you are one of those people that like to color coordinate or era coordinate the looks of your appliance. It is important that you feel all-around good about your coffee maker, as you will find that good feeling will also translate into the daily, awakening, flavor sensation. By doing some research on the different types and brands out there, you will be able to find the best coffee maker for you.

Iffy Espresso

I'm new to this but one thing I have picked up is that your coffee beans need to be very finely ground for espresso. My grinder is a cheap one, but it does seem to do the job. I am making a single shot using: Delonghi EC330S 15-bar pump espresso machine Delonghi KG79 burr grinder (finest setting) Some beans There are a few things I'm unsure about, so as how much pressure with which tamp the grounds. You might notice that I tamp it quite a lot, conversely the coffee passes through quite quickly and there's a nice "puck" to eject at the end (oh grow up). I would not describe the result as too weak; it tasted pretty good in a cappucino. I don't drink neat espresso so I wouldn't know what it was supposed to taste like anyway. In the past I have used too much pressure and the coffee has extracted too slowly and been undrinkable, but not so here. I'd be grateful for any comments or tips, things I'm doing very wrong and such. Thanks!
